Hitachi Construction Machinery has officially announced its renaming — starting April 2027, the company will transition to a new corporate name and brand: LANDCROS. The new name reflects the company's shift from a machine manufacturer to a provider of integrated solutions for the construction and mining industries.
The LANDCROS name reflects the company's determination to deliver innovative solutions to customers across the construction and mining industries globally. In the company's own words: "The construction and mining industries are entering a new era. The world demands faster, smarter, and more sustainable ways to build infrastructure — with fewer skilled operators, lower costs, and tighter deadlines."
The new brand marks the company's evolution from a construction and mining equipment manufacturer into a full solutions provider, integrating sustainability, digital ecosystems, and advanced technologies — including artificial intelligence, augmented reality, remote operations, and robotics.
The new name will roll out across all equipment, spare parts, and dealer networks worldwide. The machine model nomenclature and the iconic orange color — "Reliable Orange" — will remain unchanged.
Key date: the official transition to the LANDCROS brand takes effect on April 1, 2027.
During the transition period, the company will use a dual logo: Hitachi Construction Machinery Reliable Solutions — LANDCROS.
Alongside the rebrand, parent company Hitachi Ltd. has reduced its ownership stake in Hitachi Construction Machinery, granting the division greater independence in management decisions and international expansion. This opens the door to faster decision-making and more agile growth in markets where demand for sustainable and digital construction solutions is on the rise.
