Wayland congratulates sponsored driver Erwin Montfoort on winning the Dutch championship in the Rotax Max DD2 Masters category, and on his place at the Rotax MAX Challenge Grand Finals.
A season that built to the top
Montfoort's year gathered pace from mid-season. He won Round 5 of the United Karting Series at Kerpen, taking the DD2 Masters class, and at Round 6 in Berghem he was the fastest Master in qualifying and in all three races, securing his Grand Finals ticket in convincing style. For Erwin, the ticket fulfils an old dream: as a teenager he twice missed out on the world final by just a few points. The Dutch title now crowns the season.
